"Grandma Vursey built this outhouse in or around the year 1952. They
did not have electricity, running water or indoor plumbing until the mid '60's.
As a child, going to grandma's and using the outhouse was always an adventure.
The only thing I had against the outhouse was grand-daddy spiders and wasps!
"The old outhouse was about to fall over on it's side when I rescued it a couple
of years ago. It is now completely 'useable,' even down to the 1952 copy of a
Sears & Roebuck catalog. (Corn cobs are also available on request). It is
a two-holer, one round hole and one small diamond-shaped hole. The small
diamond-shaped hole was for little children. Today, when my 5 years old
granddaughter comes visiting, she always has to make at least one trip to the outhouse
to 'use-it'." - Vickie
