Mt. Withington, NM
This outhouse is used by the Forest Service at a lookout site on Mt. Withington,
elevation 10,119 feet.
When I was boy growing up in north Louisiana I used to play in the woods, camp
out, hunt, fish, and pretend I was living a rugged outdoor life. One of my
childhood dreams was to some day be a forest ranger. This outhouse reminded
me of that dream. My thanks to Jimmy and Rita for bringing back that old
memory.
I don't know what boys now days want to be when they grow up, but I'm sure it's
not forest rangers. Picture Copyright: J. Jackson - Used with permission.
