From its appearance--weathered wood, chipped paint, and rusty roof--this outhouse appears to be at least forty years old.  Yet Julie wrote that her husband Mike built it their backyard about three years ago.  She also stated it was patterned after several of the outhouses on this site.

Julie and Mike enjoy gardening when the weather permits, and they were looking for a small shed to house gardening tools, hoses, and water jugs.  They wanted something that was interesting and appealing to the outdoors, yet NOT a prefabricated unit like those found at home centers.  They came up with the idea of an outhouse, and it proved to be ideal.  Julie wrote their outhouse has received several compliments with a few raised eyebrows…
